But immigrant advocates, psychologists and officials who formerly oversaw the shelters say the Trump administration’s harsh new policies have only increased pressures on the facilities, which often are hard-pressed to provide adequate staffing for kids who suffer from untold traumas and who now exist in a legal limbo that could shape the rest of their lives.

The alleged incident involved one of the sons of Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel and was allegedly “covered up” by Officer Scot Peterson, the resource officer who infamously failed to confront the Parkland shooter.

WPLG Local 10 investigative reporter Bob Norman reported Thursday that two 17-year-old students at the school allegedly bullied a 14-year-old freshman boy, with one of the 17-year-olds holding down the student while the other 17-year-old kicked the victim, grabbed his genitals, and then grabbed the victim’s own baseball bat and began shoving it against his buttocks “simulating rape” through the boy’s clothes.

A former U.S. Army Ranger who won the Florida Sheriffs Association’s 2016 “Law Enforcement Officer of the Year” award has been fired from his job as a deputy after authorities found feces, guns, drugs and assorted garbage strewn about his “absolutely disgusting” home.

Bevard County Deputy Nicholas Worthy and his live-in girlfriend, Rachel Trexler, were arrested Thursday after police searched the Rockledge property where they lived with their 2-year-old child and three dogs.

“The house was in complete disarray. There was dog feces all over the house, there were firearms, ammunition, other types of trash and food,” said Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey. “Also found was a small amount of drugs that was inside the home and inside a vehicle.”

The arrest and charges are a stunning fall from grace for Worthy, a native of the area who joined the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in 2012 following a tour in Afghanistan two years earlier. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal of Valor for his actions overseas, the Florida Sheriffs Association said.

That number was “unquestionably an undercount because it represents only those officers whose licenses to work in law enforcement were revoked”, wrote the AP. “Not all states take such action”.

The perpetrators included state and local police, sheriff’s deputies, prison guards and school resource officers (no federal officers were included in the survey). Victims included motorists, schoolchildren, women in legal trouble, police interns, and prison inmates. About one-third of the de-certifications resulted from incidents with juveniles.”

No Second Chance: “My boyfriend is a registered sex offender”

Here is a case in point that clearly illustrates the damage of people being on the registry who clearly should NOT be. This also shows how each case must be looked at on its own just as each case represents a unique individual. There is no second chance even murders get second chances…in fact, so-called sex offenders are the ONLY type of offenders who are treated with this much hate.

Sure some do horrible things. They should be punished. However, as I have pointed out ALL offenders are lumped together regardless of the severity of the crime (most of victim-less such as online porn, police sting operations and entrapment) and then some are so terrible I don’t even want to think about it – I GET IT! But you must get that not everyone should be on the registry for life and most not at all. Certainly there should be common sense used and treat people as individuals.
